The OSHGuard 48-hour OHSMS Specialist training is a comprehensive program designed for professionals aiming to specialize in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS). This advanced course provides in-depth training on workplace safety, hazard management, and the implementation of effective OHSMS as outlined in OSH 29 CFR Part 1910.
Course Description:
The OSHGuard 48-hour OHSMS Specialist training is designed for individuals looking to enhance their expertise in occupational health and safety management systems. This course covers a wide range of topics to equip participants with the skills necessary to develop, implement, and manage an effective OHSMS in their workplaces.
As a student, you will learn advanced industry best practices for reducing incidents and injuries, the complex hazards you might encounter in general industry work, and strategic solutions to recognize, control, and protect against them. Additionally, you will gain comprehensive knowledge on the components and effective implementation of an OHSMS.
Students must receive additional training, as required by OSH standards, on specific hazards of the job in addition to this training. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHGuard 48-Hour OHSMS Specialist certificate and wallet card.
Prerequisites:
The 48-HR OHSMS Specialist Course is an advanced course recommended for individuals who have completed intermediate safety courses such as the 30-HR OHSMS Supervisor Course or have equivalent experience in occupational health and safety management systems.
Recertification:
This course does not require a refresher; however, it is strongly recommended that employees take this course at least once every five years to stay up-to-date regarding regulatory changes.
