• Interpret and apply the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act) and relevant OSH regulations to ensure compliance and promote a safe workplace.
• Analyze OSH inspection priorities, procedures, and enforcement actions to effectively manage compliance audits.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize major hazards associated with general industry work, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, chemical exposures, electrical hazards, and fire protection.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, incorporating hierarchy of controls and best practices for hazard control.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive OHSMS aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure OHSMS effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Design and deploy customized safety policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to organizational needs and industry standards.
• Integrate OHSMS principles into organizational operations to promote a proactive safety culture and enhance safety performance.
• Lead and motivate teams in achieving safety objectives, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
• Effectively communicate OHSMS policies, procedures, and regulatory updates to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring understanding and compliance.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying causes and prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address identified deficiencies and improve workplace safety.
• Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate OHSMS performance, regulatory compliance, and conformance to organizational policies and standards.
• Prepare for and manage external audits, ensuring readiness and demonstrating adherence to OHSMS requirements.
• Evaluate OHSMS performance through continuous monitoring, data analysis, and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in occupational health and safety to maintain professional competence.
